Protect your home from cancer causing radon
Radon is responsible for about 21,000 lung cancer deaths every year, or 58 deaths every day, as reported by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
Indoor radon levels in Ravalli county have predicted average levels greater than 4 pCi/L, which places them in the highest level of concern according to the EPA.
Come to the North Valley Library Community Room in Stevensville on Thursday, June 7 at 6 pm and learn simple techniques to detect radon and how to eliminate it from your home.
Val DeMuro from the Ravalli County Environmental Health Department answers question such as “What is radon?”, “Where is it?”, “What does it do?”, “How can I test for it?” and “What can I do about it?”
